At Fathom, I work as a logistics manager putting together the different pieces of an event puzzle: lighting, bar services, security, ticketing, and POS system management. Together, my colleagues and I find spaces around Washington D.C. to bring to life with art concepts commissioned in a variety of mediums, all of which respond to an event prompt. We aim to increase public engagement with the arts through creative showcases.
At Roam, I work in a more flexible role to accommodate a smaller core team. I coordinate artist and hospitality logistics, I serve as a chauffeur, and I cultivate strategy for how to best put together future events. They are largely afterhours affairs, running until 6 a.m. to appeal to night owls with multiple party destinations lined up.
We have hosted a variety of DJs, largely known as producers of electronic music, but all of whom DJ open format -- that is, with no specific genre restrictions. At their broadest, parties can encompass house, techno, disco, funk, soul, and all manner of other music. Below are a few of the past artists we have hosted.
